Beautiful American actress Brenda Marshall was born 100 years ago today on 29-September-1915 in Negros, Philippines, where her father managed a sugar plantation. She preferred to use her real name, Ardis Ankerson, when she was not working.
She was Errol Flynn's leading lady in
The Sea Hawk, but also appeared in a bunch of programmers.
After she married William Holden in 1941, she virtually retired. She made her last movie in 1950.
