Fox needed a western star to back up Tom Mix. Buck Jones made a long series of movies for Fox. Fox tried to change his billing to Charles Jones. They seem to have given up around this time.

Guinn "Big Boy" Williams was a tall, muscular guy who had worked as a cowboy and played professional baseball. Will Rogers helped to get him into the movies and gave him the nickname. Big Boy had been an Army officer during World War One. He remained active during the talkie era.

Fox was still trying to change Buck Jones' name to Charles. Fox announced a delay in completing The Eleventh Hour, a feature starring Buck Jones and Shirly Mason, the sister of Viola Dana. The movie would not be released until after Buck's next production. Bernard J Durning directed.

"Fairbanks Comes Through!" Fairbanks was not Doug's brother, but he may have been related. They were both born with the family name "Ullman," but that may have been a coincidence. Ben Wilson was a popular actor who also directed and produced.
