Director Jonathan Demme died of cancer. I liked many of his movies. I never saw The Silence of the Lambs, which everyone says was good. I never saw his remake of The Manchurian Candidate, which didn't sound so good. I loved Melvin and Howard and his concert films like Stop Making Sense.
