Actor Charles Laughton was born 125 years ago today, on 01-July-1899. Charles Laughton was always interesting to me. I think the first thing I remember him in was
The Hunchback of Notre Dame. When I was young, everybody seemed to remember him playing Captain William Bligh in
Mutiny on the Bounty.
He directed only one movie, but it was the great
Night of the Hunter. I don't know why he did not get another opportunity.
