Roscoe Arbuckle in The Dollar a Year Man -- February 3, 1921

100 years ago, Roscoe Arbuckle appeared in a lot of movies in a short time. He appeared in five features released during 1921. 

The US government is not allowed to use unpaid volunteers, so some people who are already well off or have special skills will sometimes be hired and paid one dollar a year to work around the law. This often happens during wartime.
