This morning NPR announced that Adam West had died. I was a little kid when the
Batman television show premiered. It spurred my life-long interest in Batman. I didn't realize until later how he was not playing it straight. I was happy that he found lots of work for the rest of his life.

I don't remember where I first saw or heard Peter Sallis. I remember when he was Ratty in
The Wind in the Willows. I remember when he was Wallace in Nick Park's Wallace and Gromit animations. At some point a local PBS station started running
Last of the Summer Wine.
