Buck Jones was Fox's second-string cowboy star, after Tom Mix. For some reason the Fox Film Corporation or Jones himself tried to bill him as Charles Jones. I like the image in this ad for
Bells of San Juan. Directed by Scott Dunlap.

I always enjoy Hoot Gibson movies. Red Courage is a good title. "you'll chuckle with your heart in your throat." That sounds uncomfortable.

JP McGowan was an Irish-born actor and director. This ad is for a series of westerns that he directed and starred in. I like the title The Ruse of the Rattler.

"Fairbanks Comes Through!" Fairbanks was not Doug's brother, but he may have been related. They were both born with the family name "Ullman," but that may have been a coincidence. Ben Wilson was a popular actor who also directed and produced.

William Farnum, a big, tough guy, appeared in many westerns. I like this illustration.
