See Chaplin in "The Idle Class," Billy Bevan in "The Golf Nut," Buster Keaton in "Convict 13," Laurel and Hardy in "Should Married Men Go Home?," WC Fields in "The Golf Specialist" and "The Dentist," Charley Chase in "All Teed Up," the Three Stooges in "Three Little Beers," Jerry Lewis in The Caddy and Bill Murray in Caddyshack.

Baby Peggy Montgomery graced the cover of the 15-April-1922 Moving Picture Weekly. She had grown to become Century's biggest comedy star, even surpassing her old comrade Brownie the Century Wonder Dog. Universal released Century Comedies.

Harry Cohn, his brother Jack and Joe Brandt provided the initials for C.B.C. Film Sales Corp. The Hallroom Boys Comedies were a long running series of short comedies, based on a comic strip by Harold MacGill.

C.B.C. also released Sunbeam Comedies, starring Billy West, who had started as a Chaplin imitator but later developed his own character.

The Christie Film Company was a major producer of short comedies from 1911 to 1933. Al Christie was the director and Charles Christie ran the business. The Christies featured situation comedy more than the slapstick favored by Mack Sennett and Hal Roach.

By 1921, most of Mack Sennett's biggest stars, Charlie Chaplin, Mabel Normand, Roscoe Arbuckle, were long gone, although Mabel returned later in the year to make features. He continued to produce short comedies, many, like "Made in the Kitchen," starring Billy Bevan and Louise Fazenda.

Sennett produced occasional features like Home Talent. It featured "...a cast of celebrated comedians including Ben Turpin, Charlie Murray, Phyllis Haver, James Finlayson, Kalla Pasha, Eddie Gribbon, Dot Farley, Harriet Hammond and Kathryn McGuire." And of course there were lots of bathing beauties.
