The Vitagraph Company of America, an important early film studio, advertised a wide selection of films at twelve cents a foot. "The Acrobatic Burglars" and "The Snap-Shot Fiend" sound like fun. Down in the fine print, we see that the "house of headliners" offered "Sherlock Holmes Baffled," "Raffles, the Amateur Cracksman" and films of the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906.
