The Lubin Manufacturing Company was a pioneering film production company founded in 1902 in Philadelphia by Siegmund Lubin. Lubin later produced movies in Jacksonville, Florida and Los Angeles, California.

Battling Nelson and Jimmy Britt fought for the second time on 09-September-1905 in Colma, near San Francisco. Nelson, winning by a KO in the 20th round, took away Britt's so-called White Lightweight championship. Joe Gans, who was African-American held the world lightweight championship.
