Lash LaRue, who parlayed a resemblance to Humphrey Bogart and a modicum of skill with a bullwhip into a short career as a western star and a much longer career as a person who made personal appearances, was born 100 years ago today, on 15-June-1917. His sidekick was Al "Fuzzy" St John, Roscoe Arbuckle's nephew.
