Singing cowboy Tex Ritter died 50 years ago today, on 02-January-1974. I had just seen some of his movies for the first time on The Old Sourdough on KEMO or some other late-night program. I thought his movies for Grand National were better than most of the other B-Westerns shown on those programs.
