Actor Walter Matthau was born 100 years ago today, on 01-October-1920. He appeared in some of my favorite movies, especially The Sunshine Boys with George Burns, several movies with Jack Lemmon and the original Taking of Pelham 1-2-3. He was a World War Two veteran, who served as a gunner and radio operator on a B-24 of the Eighth Air Force.
