On 14-September-1923 at the Polo Grounds in New York City, heavyweight champ Jack Dempsey defended his title against Luis Ángel Firpo, the Wild Bull of the Pampas, a boxer from Argentina. In the first round, Firpo went down seven times, but got up and knocked Dempsey through the ropes, where he hit his head on a reporter's typewriter. Dempsey knocked out Firpo in the second round. I'd imagine this film did pretty good business.
