When I was going to Saint Monica's School in San Francisco, they had everyone gather in the large church hall to watch a 16mm print of
The Song of Bernadette. I already loved old movies, but this one didn't do anything for me, or many of my classmates. I was sitting towards the back telling my classmate who was running the projector about Jennifer Jones' relationship with producer David O Selznick. One of the nuns overheard me and I was banished back to the classroom.
