William S Hart -- His Return to the Screen in an Original Story by Himself -- September 9, 2023

William S Hart's career had been derailed when he was accused of fathering a woman's five-year-old child. Even though he wound up paying child support, he was allowed to return to the screen.

Hart's first film under a new contract with Paramount was a biopic about Wild Bill Hickok. Hart wrote the original story.

As far as I know Bill Hart did not settle in Connecticut. He lived in his ranch in Newhall until he died in 1946.
